The Hightstown High School Consumer Bowl Team, consisting of Future Business Leaders of America members John Titicula, Sree Chinta, Steven Cohen, Jasman Singh, Devashru Patel, Dhruv Samdani, and Shivam Verma, beat northern and southern NJ in the NJ State Final Consumer Bowl Competition on 5/16 held at the Hughes Justice Complex in Trenton, NJ.  Hightstown dominated early on, winning Rounds 1 and 2.  The Irvington and Moorestown came back in the final round to make it close but the Hightstown team held on to ultimately win the competition.  Congratulations to our Hightstown FBLA’s 2017 Consumer Bowl State Champions!

The Consumer Bowl is an educational competition for high school students across the state. It was established in 1997 to educate young adults on a variety of consumer issues they will undoubtedly face at various points in their lives.  Students compete in a game show style format and answer questions related to issues that the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs deals with on a routine basis.  Members of the FBLA have been participants in the Consumer Bowl for the past 6 years and involvement comes from high schools across Mercer County and throughout the state of New Jersey.
