Congratulations to Brian McGlew for being awarded the NJSIAA Scholar-Athlete of the year!

Any junior with at least a  4.2 GPA who is interested in speaking with a college representative from UPenn, please register for the meeting on Naviance. The UPenn rep will be here Wednesday May 24th at 9AM in the auditorium. Please see Ms. Pirher in guidance for more info.

Mr. Friedman will be having an OPEN SHOP on Tuesday May 23rd, after school until 4 pm.

There will be a meeting for anyone interested in playing Boys' Basketball during the 2017-2018 season after school on Tuesday May 23rd in the annex gym. Please see Coach Durstewitz if you are unable to attend.

Fall sports physicals with the school doctor will be held here at HHS on Friday June 16.    If you’re not already registered with Family ID, you need to do this before making an appointment for your physical with Mrs. Thomas in the nurse’s office. The last day to do so is Friday June 9.  If you go to your own doctor for your physical, that paperwork needs to be turned in by June 16th.

Any Sophomore or Junior student who is interested in a vocational program are encouraged to apply. There are multiple openings in Carpentry, Auto Collision, HVAC, and Diesel Technology. The weight room will be open MONDAY and TUESDAY.

Seniors who did not pick up the list of materials for the Senior Trip needs to see Mrs. Weintraub in Room 110. Any senior going on the trip Wednesday needs to bring the luggage to the auditorium stage by 7:30 to get checked.  We will be leaving about 8:30.

Bidding for senior service day will take place during lunches this week only.  

The weight room will be open MONDAY and TUESDAY.

Senior Athletes that have committed to a college for athletics are invited to attend the Athletic Commitment Day on May 23rd between 8:00 and 10:30am.  Please pick up and complete the form that can be found in the Athletic Office if you plan to attend.

The Tomorrow's Teachers Applications are available - Please see your counselor, Ms. Fox, or Mr. Petrushun to pick up an application. Please return to Ms. Fox in room 105 by May 15. 

Posters and decorations may not be taped onto any painted surface, including lockers, walls, doors and the support pillars. Please tape school posters only to the windows in the cafeterias, the new commons, the ramp hallway to the annex, or the glass hallways surrounding the senior court yard. Posters may also be taped to the unpainted walls in the commons. Posters taped to any painted surface will be immediately removed. 

Attention Seniors:  Please remember to log in to your Naviance account and update your college statuses as necessary.  Please indicate what colleges you’ve been accepted to, as well as what college you have chosen to attend, if you know at this point.

There are many opportunities for tutoring after school in the library. Try NHS TUTORING  every TUESDAY AND THURSDAY, for help with any subject.   MATH NHS  offers tutoring for any math course every WEDNESDAY, SPANISH NHS will offer tutoring in any subject on Thursdays.  Late bus passes will be provided.

The Athletic Department has launched a new app that will provide fans with points for attending home athletic events.  Go to your app store and search for Ram Stampede (two words) or ramrewards  (one word).   The winner at the end of each season will receive a prize.

HHS Marching Band Win New Jersey State Championships!
The Hightstown High School Marching Band placed 1st out of 23 bands at New Jersey State Championships last night. In addition to the win, the Marching Rams won Best Overall Effect. The band will continue their season at Robbinsville High School this Saturday and complete their season at National Championships on November 5.
