Daily Announcements - Tuesday September 23 - Day B

A representative from the following colleges will be at Hightstown High School: today Rider University at 8:30; Wednesday Roanoke College at 9:30, and on Monday September 29 Arcadia University at 12:15 & the Army will be in the cafeteria on the 29th during both lunches.  All others meetings take place in the Counseling Office. 

The Future Business Leaders of America Club will be holding a meeting after school today in room 306 at 2:20.  All CURRENT and NEW members are welcome!  

Attention all seniors!  Your Yankee Candle fundraiser is due by Wednesday, September 24th.  Hand in your form to Mrs. Horta in room 108 or Mrs. Montgomery in room 114. 

The weight room will be open on Monday and Wednesday this week. 

All students participating in the 2015 German exchange should see Frau Peterson in room 502 TODAY for an important handout!  Please see her by the end of the school day today! 

The Artists Union will be meeting this Wednesday in room 505 after school. 

We would like to announce that the German Club will have their first meeting, an organizational meeting, on Wednesday September 24th from 2:30 - 3:30 in room 502!  All those interested in the German Club should plan to attend!  Any questions see Frau Peterson or Frau Templeton!! 

Want to be a lawyer or are you really good at acting? ​The Mock Trial Club will be meeting on Wednesday, September 24th at 2:20 in room 310. ​ 

The FCCLA will meet in room 405 at 2:15 today. Please remember to bring your $13 affiliation dues. All new members are welcome. 

The Hightstown Model UN Club will meet today at 2:25 in room 601. We will be joined by a guest speaker! 

And Hightstown Model UN would like to congratulate Charlie Carr, who won Best Delegate at the American Homeschool Model United Nations Conference held this past Saturday in Princeton! 

The first Stage Crew Meeting of the year will take place today after school in the auditorium.  Any student interested in working with tools, painting, or just having fun working on a project should attend.  No experience necessary!  See Mr. Kamps for details.

The girls’ soccer team will be playing in a very important game today against Allentown 4:00 on the turf.  Please come support them! 

The football team is hosting Princeton on Saturday at 11:00. The team needs the 12th man support of our student body to defeat Princeton and be tied for first place! 

The field hockey team will be sponsoring a car was fundraiser Sunday September 28 at Dairy Queen from 11 – 4:00.  Please come out & support the team! 

The Philosophy Club weekly meeting will be held every Tuesday after school in room 602. When you have a chance, go to our table during Rush Week and remember to mark your calendars: Philosophy Club, room 602, every Tuesday​after school! 

Do you have a love for all things bio? If so, come join the Biology Student Scholars Club to participate in exciting labs and interactive bio activities! Our first meeting will be on Monday, September 29th after school in room 124. See you there!   

The Biology Student Scholars Club will be having a bake sale after school under the Ram's Head tomorrow. Come get pizza and your favorite baked goods to support the club!

PSAT Information
Historically, Hightstown High School has offered the PSAT test on a specific Saturday during the month of October. The College Board also offers school districts the ability to administer the PSAT on a specific school day during the week. This year, the College Board has designated Wednesday, October 15, 2014 as the weekday for PSAT Administration.
