Today is  DAY A,  FRIDAY,   October 20,  2017


Thursday 19th - Tuesday 24th -- Any Sophomore or Junior student who is interested in registering for Vocational School or Career Prep can apply during lunch. A school counselor will be in Cafe R during lunch periods to help students apply for the upcoming year and to answer any questions you may have about the programs. Apply early since spots will fill up. (Mr. Shunk)

NHS tutoring will be held in the library from 2:15-3:45.  Tuesdays and every other Thursday you can get help with math, science, and business. On Wednesdays and Fridays you can get help with English, world languages, and social studies. (Ms. Rice)

There will be a Health Occupations Students Of America (HOSA) meeting Tuesday, October 24th, in room 125. (Mr. Holsten)

The Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA) will meet this Tuesday, October 24th at 2:30 in room 137. All are welcome. (Mrs. MacLaughlin)

Student volunteers are needed for the Deborah Hospital Sudden Cardiac Arrest Screening to be held at HHS Saturday October 21st from 9-3. Any student who is CPR certified and can help with this event please see Mrs. Shaffer in the Nurse's office to sign up. You will receive volunteer credit hours for your time.

There will be a DECA member meeting after school on Thursday, October 26th at 2:25.  All members must be in attendance.  This is your last chance to join the club. (Ms. Akromas)

Chartwells is now serving soup at the salad bar. Check out the different soup options every day.

The weight room will be open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. (Mr. Russo)

The junior class will be selling blue and white cow bells after school  through Friday in room 303. The cost is 1 for $3 or 2 for $5.

Lap Swimming and Water Jogging will be Oct. 17 to Nov. 7 on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 2:15-3:45 for students and staff. Students must have a signed permission slip. (Mrs. O’Connor)  Also, STAFF ONLY laps or water aerobics from 4- 5pm,  on the same dates.

Girls' Swim Team practice starts Nov. 13 at 2:15   Be sure you have your physicals and paperwork in. The Concussion Test will be Nov. 8th after school in the library.  Please see Mrs. O'Connor if you are still interested in the Girls' Swim Team or have any questions.

Free sports physicals will be held on Friday October 27th. Appointments must be made in person with Mrs. Thomas in the nurses’ office by October 20th. You must first register on FamilyID and, when making the appointment, you must hand in the sports physical form with the first 2 pages completed. If you go to your own doctor, those forms are due by the 27th.
