 MONDAY        October 24th.

Any boy or girl interested in joining the winter track team should meet in room 401 TODAY after school. Any questions see Coach Edwards or Coach Biondi.         

Mock Trial will be meeting on Wednesday October 26th in room 310. Current and new members are welcome! We will be discussing the trial for this years competition.

The FMLA will meet tomorrow in room 602 right after school.

The FCCLA will meet in room 405 after school tomorrow.

The FBLA will meet tomorrow at 2:20 in room 306.

Anyone interested in the Girls' or Boys' Swim Team must see Coach Larkin or Coach O'Connor. First practice is November 7th.

Congratulations to the HHS Marching Band for taking the title in the the State Championships!

Any girls interested in trying out for the girls golf team, there will be a mandatory meeting after school on Wednesday 10/26.  If you have any questions, please see Coach Chung.

All boys' soccer uniforms are due back to Coach Wolkiewicz by FRIDAY 10/28.  All Girls' soccer uniforms are due to Coach Hess now.

Any student interested in auditioning for Jazz Band should see Mr. Ernst or Mr. Halat in the band room to sign up for a time, and to pick up the music. Auditions are right after school in the band room on Tuesday, November 1. 

There will be a meeting for any student interested in playing Girls Basketball immediately after school on Tuesday October 25th in Room 401.

The Finance Club will be holding their first meeting after school on November 2nd in room 309. This is a date change.  All are welcome.

The German Department is celebrating its annual Oktoberfest celebration on Thursday, October 27th.  All current German students are reminded to give Frau Cagan and Frau Peterson the $10 for the catered lunch by Wednesday, October 26th.  Any questions or concerns, see Frau Peterson.

 Attention all juniors:  Are you thinking of applying for membership in the National Honor Society?  Volunteer hours are a must.  If you are interested in earning community service hours please join us after school on Wednesday, November 26th, in Cafeteria "M".   NHS and a community based organization RISE are running a program that might interest you.

Attention powder puff players, there is a correction to the powder puff game date. It is Wednesday November 16th at 3:30 on the football field.

Attention juniors who sold cookie dough. You must pick up your cookie dough order Wednesday October 26th directly after school in the m cafe.

Do you need help with completing assignments, homework, studying for tests? Try NHS TUTORING after school until 4:00 in the library, every TUESDAY AND THURSDAY.. Student volunteers offering to help you.

The Athletic Department has launched a new app that will provide fans with points for attending home athletic events.  Go to your app store and search for Ram Stampede (two words) or ramrewards  (one word).   The winner at the end of each season will receive a prize.

Attention Students and Staff: anyone interested in swimming laps or water jogging, stay after school on Oct.  27, Nov. 1st and 3rd.  Students need a signed permission form to attend.  Forms are outside the pool door and in the pool office.  Any questions see Mrs. O'Connor in the pool office.

Anyone interested in lifeguarding after school for community service hours please see Mrs. O'Connor in the pool office. 

Colleges visiting HHS next week: Be sure you meet the minimum gpa and check in with your teacher before going to the Counseling Office.  Monday: Ramapo College at  9:30  gpa 3.0  and  George Washington University at 1:15 gpa 3.8.  Tuesday : York College of PA at 8:30, gpa 2.8  and Fashion Institute of Tecnology at 1:15  gpa 2.5.  Thursday: Drew University at 9:30, gpa 3.3.


News and Announcements

HHS Marching Band Win New Jersey State Championships!
The Hightstown High School Marching Band placed 1st out of 23 bands at New Jersey State Championships last night. In addition to the win, the Marching Rams won Best Overall Effect. The band will continue their season at Robbinsville High School this Saturday and complete their season at National Championships on November 5.
